On a shared server environment, we must limit the use of scripts and programs are known to cause a slow down in services, commonly known as "server hogs", in order to maintain a high level of service to the other clients on the server.

The banned scripts have a high risk of causing a breach in our systems, which will result in having your scripts or programs disabled, or your virtual hosting account suspended or possibly terminated.

If your website requires the use of the scripts or programs we deem to have a negative effect on our systems, we recommend a semi-dedicated or dedicated solution. This will ensure the highest quality environment available to support your resource intensive website.

CGI Chat Room Scripts and Programs
ALL CGI Chat scripts and programs hosted/run from our servers are banned. You are allowed to have any chat room on your website that is hosted on a separate network. We recommend raiderSoft, they provide free chat room services to thousands of web masters on the Internet.

Bulletin Board Systems/Forums, Content Management Systems (CMS), Contact Scripts, etc
A number of bulletin board/forum scripts are included with your hosting package, and should all be completely acceptable to run. However, please note that even with an approved script, a bulletin board/forum that is extremely busy may still cause undesired loads on the servers. If you start seeing a rapid growth in your forums after having installed, please contact use and we will assist you into looking for alternative options for your website.

Also note that if any script that has been approved for current use is found to have a fault, breakdown, back-door, trojan, or other undocumented "feature" which could be used to gain entry to, or cause detrimental harm to our systems, we may at our sole judgement terminate or suspend any accounts until a secure or alternative script can be found.

Please understand that we are not judging the quality of these banned scripts and programs, but making a decision based on monitoring the server load while these items are in operation. It has been observed that these programs load the servers in a way that is unfair to other shared hosting customers.
